LMIA approved. This employer is approved to hire a foreign worker into this role, which is what lets a work permit be issued for it. It does not by itself make you eligible.

About this role

Rimouski Signalisation Routière makes and installs road signs and traffic control equipment from its shop in Beauharnois. The customer service team is the first point of contact for municipalities, contractors and drivers who call about orders, deliveries and sign installations.

The day is spent on the phone and at the counter: taking orders, answering questions about products and lead times, tracking shipments and passing service requests to the shop and field crews. You log every call in the system, follow up until the customer has an answer, and keep the order desk tidy at the end of the shift.

What you'll be doing

  • Order intake. Take phone and counter orders for signs, posts and traffic control products and enter them in the system.
  • Customer questions. Answer calls about product availability, pricing and delivery timelines, and pass technical questions to the right person.
  • Follow-up. Track open orders and service requests and call customers back once there is an answer.
  • Records. Keep customer notes and order files up to date so the shop and field crews have accurate information.

What they're asking for

  • No experience needed. Training is provided on the product line and the order system.
  • Language. Functional French and English for serving customers across the region.
  • Customer manner. A clear phone manner and patience with customers who are frustrated or in a hurry.
  • Reliability. Punctual attendance and comfort working at a desk with a computer for the full shift.

What the employer offers

  • Pay extras. Group insurance and a steady schedule with no evening or weekend shifts.
  • Gear. Work polo and any equipment needed for the desk are supplied.
  • Leave. Two weeks of paid vacation after the first year, plus statutory holidays.
