About this role
Pembina Valley Poultry is a poultry processor and distributor in Almonte, Ontario. We ship fresh and frozen chicken to grocery stores, restaurants and food service customers across the Ottawa Valley. The warehouse is where orders get picked, packed and loaded, and we are hiring people who want to learn the work from the ground up. No previous warehouse experience is needed; we train on the dock and in the cooler.
A day starts with the pick list. You pull cases from the racks, check counts and lot codes against the sheet, and build orders on pallets for the drivers. You will spend time in the cooler, so you need to dress for it, and you will help load trucks at the dock when they arrive. Between orders there is cleanup, cardboard baling and restocking the fast-moving items. The crew works together and the supervisor is on the floor.
