About this role

Laval Plomberie Express maintains the grounds and outdoor spaces at its Arnprior, Ontario property, and we are adding a groundskeeper to keep them tidy and safe through the growing season. The work is hands-on and outdoors, and it suits someone who wants a first job in grounds care and is willing to learn on the job.

A typical day starts with a walk over the property to check lawns, beds and walkways, then moves into mowing, trimming and weeding before the afternoon heat. You will water plantings, clear litter and leaves, and report anything broken or unsafe to the supervisor. Tools and training are provided, and you work alongside an experienced lead.

What you'll be doing

  • Lawn care. Mow, trim and edge lawns on a regular schedule and keep the equipment clean after use.
  • Planting and beds. Weed, water and tidy flower beds, shrubs and trees, and spread mulch where needed.
  • Litter and leaves. Clear garbage, leaves and debris from lawns, paths and parking areas.
  • Reporting. Check walkways, fences and outdoor fixtures and report damage or hazards to the supervisor.

What they're asking for

  • No experience needed. We hire people new to grounds work and train them on site.
  • Physical fitness. You can stand, walk and lift through a full outdoor shift in summer weather.
  • Reliability. You arrive on time and follow the daily schedule set by the lead hand.
  • Safety awareness. You follow safe practices around mowers, trimmers and other power equipment.

What the employer offers

  • Training provided. Paid instruction on mower and trimmer use in your first weeks.
  • Outdoor gear. Sunscreen, water and a hat supplied on hot days.
  • Seasonal bonus. A completion bonus paid at the end of the season for staff who stay through.
