LMIA approved. This employer is approved to hire a foreign worker into this role, which is what lets a work permit be issued for it. It does not by itself make you eligible.

About this role

Peace Country Grain Haulers operates a staff kitchen and crew canteen in Agassiz, feeding drivers and yard crews through the harvest and hauling season. We are adding a supervisor to run the kitchen day to day, keeping meals coming on time for crews that start early and finish late.

The day starts before the first trucks roll out. You set the prep list, get the hot line and the sandwich station ready, and keep the dining room clean through the lunch rush. You order supplies, track what comes in and what goes out, and close the till at the end of service. You will train and schedule a small kitchen team and answer to the yard manager when something needs fixing.

What you'll be doing

  • Kitchen operations. Run daily food service for yard and driving crews, including prep, cooking, and serving lines.
  • Staff scheduling. Set weekly shifts for kitchen staff and cover gaps when someone is away.
  • Inventory and ordering. Count stock, place supplier orders, and keep waste and costs in line with the kitchen budget.
  • Safety and sanitation. Hold the kitchen to BC food safety standards and keep daily temperature and cleaning records.

What they're asking for

  • FoodSafe certification. Current FoodSafe Level 1 is required; Level 2 is an asset and we will help you get it.
  • Experience. None required; this is an entry-level supervisory role and we will train the right person.
  • Transportation. Reliable transport to Agassiz, as early starts fall outside transit hours.
  • Physical fitness. Able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 20 kg safely.

What the employer offers

  • Meals on shift. Free meal during every shift worked.
  • Extended health. Group health and dental coverage after three months.
  • Paid leave. Two weeks of paid vacation per year, accruing from the start date.
