LMIA approved. This employer is approved to hire a foreign worker into this role, which is what lets a work permit be issued for it. It does not by itself make you eligible.

About this role

Chatham-Kent Farm Repair operates a small guest house in Bay Roberts for visiting crews, contractors and travellers passing through Conception Bay North. We are hiring a room attendant to keep the rooms clean, stocked and ready for guests.

The day starts with the room list and the linen cart. You strip and remake beds, clean bathrooms and floors, restock towels and supplies, and log anything that needs repair. Most shifts finish by mid-afternoon, and the pace picks up when a crew checks out and another arrives the same day.

What you'll be doing

  • Room cleaning. Strip and remake beds, dust surfaces, vacuum floors and clean bathrooms to the posted standard.
  • Linen and supplies. Sort used linen, run loads through the washer and dryer, and restock towels, soap and paper goods in each room.
  • Reporting. Note damage, missing items and maintenance problems on the room sheet so the supervisor can schedule repairs.
  • Common areas. Wipe down hallways, the entry and shared washrooms, and take out garbage and recycling at the end of the shift.

What they're asking for

  • No experience needed. We train new staff on our cleaning routine and room standards during the first week.
  • Reliability. You need to show up on time for your scheduled shifts, including weekends when the guest house is full.
  • Physical fitness. The job involves standing, bending, lifting linen bags and pushing a cart for most of the shift.
  • Language. Enough English to read the room list, follow written cleaning instructions and speak with guests at the front desk.

What the employer offers

  • Paid training. New attendants are paid at the full rate from their first shift, including the training week.
  • Uniform and gear. We supply aprons, gloves and cleaning supplies; you bring comfortable non-slip shoes.
  • Meals on shift. A hot lunch is provided in the staff room on full-day shifts.
