LMIA approved. This employer is approved to hire a foreign worker into this role, which is what lets a work permit be issued for it. It does not by itself make you eligible.

About this role

Perth County Paving is a family-run paving company working residential driveways and small commercial lots around Bathurst and the surrounding communities. We are looking for a host to be the first point of contact for customers who call or stop by the yard.

On a typical day you greet walk-ins, answer the phone, and take down the details of each job request so the estimators can follow up. You keep the booking sheet and call-back list current, hand out quotes and brochures, and keep the front area tidy. When crews head out, you confirm addresses and start times with customers, and you flag weather delays as soon as they come up.

What you'll be doing

  • Customer greeting. Welcome walk-ins and answer calls, and take down each customer's name, address and job details.
  • Booking support. Enter requests on the booking sheet and keep the call-back list up to date for the estimators.
  • Job confirmation. Call customers to confirm start dates and addresses, and let them know when weather pushes work back.
  • Front area upkeep. Keep the counter, brochures and quote packages stocked and tidy through the day.

What they're asking for

  • No experience needed. We will train you on our booking sheet and quote process.
  • Communication. Clear spoken English for phone and counter work with customers.
  • Reliability. You show up on time and can be counted on for the full shift.
  • Local knowledge. Familiarity with Bathurst and nearby communities helps when taking addresses.

What the employer offers

  • Training pay. Paid on-the-job training during your first two weeks.
  • Gear. Company jacket and safety vest provided.
  • Overtime. Time and a half after 44 hours in a week.
