LMIA approved. This employer is approved to hire a foreign worker into this role, which is what lets a work permit be issued for it. It does not by itself make you eligible.

About this role

Yorkton Tire & Auto runs a small grocery counter alongside its tire and auto shop in Barrhead, stocking everyday staples for customers and staff. The work is on the floor: keeping shelves full, prices marked and the till running so people can get in and out quickly.

A typical day starts with facing the aisles and checking dates on perishables, then moves between the till, the stockroom and the cooler as deliveries arrive. You will help customers find what they need, keep the front end clean and tidy, and close out your till at the end of your shift.

What you'll be doing

  • Stocking. Fill shelves and coolers from deliveries and rotate stock so older items sell first.
  • Customer service. Help customers find products, answer questions and carry out to their vehicles when asked.
  • Cash handling. Ring through sales, take payment by cash, debit and credit, and balance your till at shift end.
  • Cleanliness. Sweep aisles, wipe down counters and keep the front end clear and presentable.

What they're asking for

  • Experience. None required; this is an entry-level role and training is provided on site.
  • Certification. No ticket or licence needed; food safety training is offered after hire.
  • Availability. Able to work the posted schedule, including Saturday shifts.
  • Physical fitness. Able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods through the shift.

What the employer offers

  • Wage premium. Extra pay for Saturday and statutory holiday shifts.
  • Staff discount. Discounted groceries and auto service for employees.
  • Gear. Company apron and safety footwear allowance provided after probation.
